Prehensile Tail Porcupines
Meet our prehensile-tailed porcupines, Meredith and George. They use their tails like a fifth hand. Their favorite snacks are sweet potatoes, corn on the cob, and nutritional biscuits.
Their quills are made of the same stuff as human hair. Despite what many people think, porcupines cannot throw their quills. When they get scared, they puff their quills up, and if they're touched while puffed up, the quills will release.
