Collection: Peacocks

Meet the Peacocks of Eagle Eye Farm.

Peacocks are famous for their long, colorful tail feathers, called a “train,” which they fan out in spectacular displays to attract mates. The easiest way to tell the difference between a peacock and a peahen is by the size of their tail feathers: the males are known for their long, dramatic back tail feathers (often called a “train”) that they fan out in an impressive display, while the females are more subtly colored and do not grow the large ornamental tail. Each year after breeding season, peacocks shed their long feathers and regrow them, while peahens typically lay eggs from late spring through mid-summer, often accompanied by courtship displays.
