I have a new favorite thing, and I can't stop talking about it. Say hello to Farmgirl Fab goat's milk soap! It's new, it's creamy, it smells wonderful, and it has become a little bit of an obsession around here.
What is Farmgirl Fab?
Farmgirl Fab Skincare is part of our little family of farm brands, right alongside Eagle Eye Farm, All Things Sheared and Soaring Bee Apiary. It's been a dream of mine for a while, and seeing it come together has been so exciting. Goat's milk soap felt like the perfect place to start, and Farmgirl Fab makes sheep's milk soap too.
Why goat's milk?
People have been washing with milk-based products for a very long time, and there's a reason it's stuck around. Here's what makes goat's milk soap different from a regular bar from the drugstore:
- It's creamy. Goat's milk is naturally rich in fats, which gives the soap a smooth, luxurious lather.
- It feels gentle. A lot of people find goat's milk soap less harsh and less drying than many commercial soaps.
- It's simple. Handmade soap tends to skip a lot of the extra stuff you find in mass-produced products.
Everyone's skin is different, of course, so if you have sensitive skin or allergies, always check the ingredients and try it out first.
A note about our goats
Speaking of goats: our Pygmy and Nigerian Dwarf cross goats are some of the most beloved animals on the farm. They're climbers, nibblers and full-time comedians.
Small batch, big love
Handmade soap is made in small batches, with care and attention that you just don't get from a factory. Each bar is a little bit special. It's the same philosophy we bring to everything on the farm: do it with love, do it right, and take care of the details.
Great for gifting (and for you)
Goat's milk soap makes a sweet little gift for teachers, hostesses, neighbors, Mother's Day or just because. But honestly? Treat yourself, too. A good bar of soap is one of those small luxuries that makes an ordinary day feel a little nicer.
