Penelope

Penelope is a sweet girl, but she gets very vocal when she isn't getting the food or attention she thinks she deserves. She loves to snuggle. After she eats, she flops onto her side and makes it clear it's time for a belly rub. We love watching her run. It looks like she's wearing high heels.

We met her in summer 2017 at a hobby farm near the Twin Cities. Dawn and Berkli fell for this cute little black pig, then learned the animals were being raised for meat. Dawn asked to buy her as a pet, and the owner agreed. Penelope needed a friend, so along came Wilbur, who was with us until he passed. Today she shares her days with our Kune Kune boys, Waddles and Hamilton.

Penelope has seasonal alopecia, so in winter she is usually bald. Her hair grows back when the days get longer and warmer.
