School's almost out, the days are long, and the farm is buzzing with summer energy. It's my favorite kind of chaos. And this year, we're adding something brand new to the calendar: our very first Summer Dash, happening this June!

Why we started Summer Dash

We've loved bringing people together for special events on the farm, and summer felt like the perfect season for something new. Long days, warm weather and freshly sheared alpacas who look a little bit like skinny poodles? That's a party waiting to happen. Summer Dash is our way of kicking off the season with our farm community.

The farm in summer

If you haven't visited in summer, here's what's waiting for you:

  • Freshly sheared alpacas. They get their yearly haircut in spring, and they're so much more comfortable for it. They look hilarious. Don't tell them I said that.
  • Busy goats. Warm days mean extra climbing, extra mischief and extra comedy.
  • Lounging pigs. Our Kune Kune pigs are experts at finding the perfect sunny (or shady) spot.
  • Kangaroos in the sun. Watching Rooby and Sydney stretch out on a summer day is peak relaxation.
  • Saturday yoga. Alpaca and goat yoga is back on summer Saturdays at 9am.

Summer visiting tips

  • Come early. We open at 10am, and mornings are often cooler and the animals tend to be more active.
  • Sunscreen and hats. There's a lot to see outdoors, so protect yourself from the sun.
  • Bring water. Stay hydrated while you explore.
  • Comfy shoes. It's a working farm with some uneven ground.
  • Plan for an hour or two. That's about how long most visits take.

Clean, close and easy

We are about 35 to 40 minutes from Minneapolis-St. Paul at N7802 County Road F in River Falls, Wisconsin. Turn at the big green Eagle Eye Farm sign, park for free on site, and you are ready to go. And yes, people always notice how clean the farm is, even in the middle of summer. Our crew picks up after the animals multiple times a day, which keeps things fresh for everyone.

Make it a summer tradition

Summer is the perfect time to start a new family tradition. Whether you join us for Summer Dash, a Saturday morning yoga class or a lazy weekday visit, the farm is a great place to unplug and enjoy the season. We have more than 130 animals across 14 species, so there's always someone new to meet.

Get the details

Keep an eye on our website and social media for all the Summer Dash details. This is the first one, and we can't wait to see how it grows.

In the meantime, plan your summer visit on our farm tours page. We're open 10am to 4pm, every day of the year. See you this summer!
